Micronesia
Micronesia’s most popular areas are Guam, Saipan, Turk and Kiribati. If you’re going to visit any of the Micronesian Islands you will most likely have Guam as your gateway. There are literally thousands of Islands in this region, either coral or volcanic in origin. If you are into water activities you will find this area extremely appealing.

Saipan is a popular destination for Japanese newlywed couples. Turk is a legendary destination for divers. There are over seventy World War II wrecks that lie on the oceans bottom in and around the harbor area. Kiribati is relatively uncommercialized and appeals to divers too.

Melanesia
Melanesia’s three most popular vacation areas are Fiji, Papua, and New Guinea.
Fiji, this traveler’s favorite, is a diver’s paradise. If you want no phone, no TV no a/c and just want to relax in a hammock all day, we have the perfect place for you. The food is fresh and fantastic. You can gather around long candlelit tables and meet people from all over the world. When you get tired you return to your private bure. Sleep comes easy as you listen to and gentle surf. The Fijian’s are very warm and friendly people. They’ll make your visit extra special and memorable. When it came time to return home, I didn’t want to leave. As our boat pulled away a few residents on the island came to the shore to sing and waive goodbye. I must admit, it made me cry. If this sounds like a vacation for you, there are several island resorts to choose from and Away We Go Travel can help you arrange it all.

Polynesia
When you think of Polynesia you think of clear warm waters and the great beaches of the Tahitian and Cook Islands. These are popular honeymoon locations and offer great deals year round. You can stay on several different islands or do a combination island and cruise package. Flights leave for Tahiti daily from many large airports around the world. We have all seen pictures of the hotels built into the hillside or bungalows above the lagoons. It’s a unique experience to look out at the turquoise waters, see colorful fish, and have room service delivered by water canoe. There is still plenty to see and do if you get the urge. They have Polynesian dance shows to attend and Art and Cultures to visit. Don’t forget a visit to the Black Pearl Farm for a demonstration.

Away We Go Travel has lots of information and brochures on these and other destinations and we will be happy to book your next reservation.
