Europe> United Kingdom
Ireland/England/Scotland/Wales

The United Kingdom is made up of four quasi-independent countries. Three of them constitute the island of Great Britain: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Ireland is distinct from Northern Ireland. It's a separate country from the United Kingdom and feels very strongly about its independence.

ENGLAND

You mention England and one of the largest cities in the world comes to mind, London. London is a great central hub for seeing the area. The people are friendly, and the language is easy. I have always found the trains and schedules easy to understand and very convenient. The "Tub" is there underground train and it is much the same for being easy to use. There is plenty to do and see in the city, but if you want to see some of the famous spots you can make easy day trips from London. You can visit Windsor Castle, Bath, Canterbury, Stratford-upon-Avon and Stonehenge.

If you don't mind driving on the opposite side of the road Away We Go Travel can help arrange a rental car, train pass, or a private tour. If a trip to London is your first to England you don't want to miss places like the Tower of London, home of the Crown Jewels. They are definitely worth seeing! There's Big Ben, the British Museum, and Buckingham Palace too.. You don't want to miss the changing of the guards, but I recommend checking the schedule it changes in different seasons. If you love Antiques and Castles like I do, we have lots to recommend.

We have special arrangements with some of our suppliers, where you can arrange a part of your stay sleeping in some. If you're the type of traveler who likes to stay in Bed and Breakfast, Farmhouses and County Homes, we have more than 2000 to choose from. How about a 400-year-old granite farmhouse with a thatched roof in the countryside, sound good? We are just a phone call or e-mail away.

SCOTLAND

A trip to Scotland should include Edinburgh Castle, and the Royal Mile. It's the oldest most historic area of the city. The Highlands are beautiful and there's Glasgow-Edinburgh a shrine for all you golfers. There are seven championship courses, including the old course at St. Andrews, and Gleneagles. Away We Go Travel can customize a golf vacation to Ireland, England, and Scotland just right for you.

WALES

Wales is not a well known area by the average traveler. It has many sighs worth seeing. Caernarfon, Conway, and Harlech are all great Castles to visit. Wales is the land of mountains, green hills and a strong Celtic influence.

IRELAND

Ireland is beautiful too. You will be astounded by the diversity of the landscape and the warmth of the welcome you will receive. The island is steeped in history and Celtic mythology. No matter where you go you will be surrounded by places of historical interest. Historical ancient architecture is everywhere in Limerick. If you want to see magnificent scenery of lakes, forests and mountains Killarney is the place to visit.

We can't forget the town of Blarney. You can visit the famous Blarney Stone, which is said to give the gift of eloquence to anyone who kisses it. If you're a shopper, you want to make a trip to Waterford. It's best known for its world-famous Waterford Crystal factory. Whenever you take a trip to Ireland your never far away from a special event or festival. Let Away We Go Travel help you plan your next visit.
