Egypt

Egypt is located in the Northeast corner of Africa. The Nile River
runs thru the country north to south. It's important to note the "Lower
Nile" is in the north of Egypt, and the "Upper Nile"
in the south. The best time of the year to visit is November to January.
The average temperature is in the mid 70's. I've been there in May
at the Valley of the Kings. The temperature was low 100's almost unbearable.
You have to drink lots of water and pace yourself.

Egypt is an incredible place. Its history dates back over 4000 BC.
I found the people to be very friendly and helpful. It is very important
however to check the government travel information advisory before
planning your trip. In the past there has been some unrest. We can
recommend and book your trip with several Top Tour Companies.

Cairo
Cairo
is a very large bustling city. "Be carefully of traffic".
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is one of the World's most famous museums.
The magnificent collection of antiquities includes mummies, sarcophagi,
and fabulous treasures from Tut Ankh Amun's tomb. If you go there
you should plan to spend the entire day. There are lots of things
to see. The Coptic Quarter with its old narrow streets, ancient Christian
Churches is where you will find the Church of St.Sergius. This 5th
century basilica, build over a crypt is where the Holy Family is believed
to have stayed during their flight into Egypt. Not far from Cairo
is the town of Giza. Here you will find the Three Great Pyramids and
the Sphinx. They were one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World,
and they're the only one of the Original Wonders still in existence.
"A must see in my book". Here you can set up a camel ride,
but negotiate the price first!

Luxor
Luxor
is south of Cairo. It's in the Valley of the Kings. You can visit
the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak here. Across the river
is where the tomb of King Tut and other Ancient Pharaohs were discovered.
I recommend going to the Valley of the Kings to visit the tombs very
early, at day break. The lines to get in can get very long and it
can get very hot later in the morning. I also recommend if you ever
wanted to try a Hot Air Balloon ride, this is the place. The view
is incredible, you can see forever. Your are able to view many of
the current archaeological digs going on today. If you're going to
do this, do it during sunrise and you'll never forget it!

Aswan
Aswan
south of Luxor is also a place you want to include on your trip. Here
you can visit the Temple of Abu Simbel where the figure of Ramses
II is cut into the bluff. Other things to see are the Dam, and an
unfinished obelisk left Century's ago. A ride in a felucca on the
Nile is a nice way to spend a lazy afternoon. Call us to book your
Egypt vacation today!
